Apart from the fast rising development of Puchong and its surrounding areas, this township is very much known for its food. There are many eateries around Puchong which are very well established, drawing the crowds not only from the nearby residential areas but also from other parts of Klang Valley as well. For starters, fast food chains are abundant with the likes of McDonald’s, KFC and Pizza Hut located in most major commercial areas.

There are a wide variety of cuisine located all around Puchong like Chinese, Malay, Indian and many more. The Chi Ka Yin Hakka Food at Bandar Puteri Puchong is one of the major Hakka restaurants here and is known for its Fried Spring Roll. If you can take the bitter taste, the Restaurant Fu Gua Thong (bitterguard soup) would be your ideal choice. Their fried pork strips are their expertise, so make sure you try it.

For Malaysians who love Dim Sum, the Ah Kad Kar Halal Dim Sum and Soups would be a great place to go as this is where one can find one of the few halal dim sum restaurants around. The Mo Sang Kor Bak Kut Teh is one of the local favourites here although they are known to be a bit more costly than others.

For those who like Yong Tau Fu, the Puchong Yong Tau Fu located in Kampung Baru Puchong is the place to go. A bit warm at the restaurant but it will all be worth it. For Malay food, there is a Restoran Ikan Bakar Sekinchan that serves one of the best grilled fish dishes around. Steamboat too is one of the common favourites here that include the Bar-B-Q Plaza at IOI Mall. There is also a Nasi Kandar Pelita  branch here located just outside IOI Mall.
